Tulip Festival pattern

Tulip Festival is such a beautiful pattern that shows the joy of one of the most beautiful flowers that was once considered jewelry in ages past, that could only be planted in the gardens of kings and queens and to this day is part of the table decoration for dinner parties, in luxury hotels and of course in that vase in our home.

Rickrack stems and pretty tulip appliqués topped with hearts make the simple piecing stand out on this throw. The airy appliqué foundations showcase intricate quilting did you know that The Ottawa Tulip Festival is one of the most anticipated events in Canada’s federal capital, because not only are we enchanted by the tulips, but it also indicates that spring has really blossomed.

After a long and harsh winter, there is nothing better than the enchantment, color and joy that only spring can exude, even people’s moods change and smiles spread with more freshness!

All this feeling of renewal is mixed in a tangle of flowers and festivals all over the country, and Ottawa offers one of the most beautiful events: the Tulip Festival, which takes place during the month of May.

One of the facts you MUST know about the Tulip Festival in Ottawa is that the tulips are actually planted! So the preparation for the festival begins the year before with the planning and design of the gardens, in October the bulbs are planted, in winter they hibernate, and only in May of the following year the tulips bloom and fill the city with life!

Of course it depends on the climatic variation. Certainly some years the gardens look more or less beautiful, but either way, it is always a delight to the eye!

Here is something interesting, I wonder if the name of this pattern that the designer gave was due to the great festival? I hope so because it really is a beautiful pattern with these appliqués, it is a happy pattern, a pattern that leaves our eyes and heart so full of hope and joy that there is not much to talk about.[et_bloom_inline optin_id=optin_5]
