We have a few ideas below but this is the time to get creative. It doesn’t even have to be a black cat, as you can use white, gray, brown, or any fabric colors you’d like. It could be a bunny or similar animal, too, depending on how you want to style it. That’s the beauty of a custom mask.[opd id=”210″]

Stores to buy fabrics to your quilt is a question that each of us needs to think about personally. So why did we decide to do this article? Well the main reason is to talk about the stores, some of their products and of course answer this question that many of us quilters have. And we will put here the description of these fabric stores, telephone and if we can, of course the phone. This list that we are going to do today is from our United States of America.
Stores to buy fabrics
Stores to buy fabrics etsy.com
For every project that we create, whether on paper or on the computer, when we put it into practice we need fabrics, be they plain, single tones or printed, and their diversifications of thicknesses and sizes. So let’s start now to talk about our online stores to buy fabrics.
Before we want to remember that we are not going to put here which is the best store, to buy, we are not going to put which have the best fabrics, even because each manufacturer may have a type of fabric that serves for one thing or another and you clearly should choose which best suit you, in the case in question of price, best payment terms, if the shipping is free or not, if they sell online or not and also news that each manufacturer has to offer you.
That said you should be the only responsible for choosing which is the best store for your taste, and of course if you comment your experience here below, you can share with us why you found Shops to buy fabrics your favorite on online fabric stores. So let’s start talking about the stores that sell our beautiful and lovely fabrics?
Joann.com
Stores to buy fabrics joann.com
Let’s start with Joann.com. This store sells interesting fabrics, for example some very nice ones for Halloween, floral, plain and others. They also sell other types of products that you might be interested in after doing some research. Click here to visit the online store.
Spoonflower.com
Stores to buy fabrics
Spoonflower is another very interesting store that actually has several types of fabrics that are really floral, others with very interesting designs even for children’s quilts, clothes etc. It is worth checking out this online fabric store, as it has some very interesting products to be researched. What called my attention in this store to buy fabric online are the beautiful florals, I even had great ideas to make a beautiful Log Cabin Quilt. Click here to visit the online store.
Minted.com
Stores to buy fabrics minted.com
A minted.com best known for its collection of artisanally created items-including invitations, stationery, and gifts-Minted is also a great source for fun and exclusive printed fabrics. This is a great place to go if you’re working on a project that requires a unique print in customizable colors and your preferred choice of fabric, as each print is available in a variety of color schemes and fabric options to choose from.
There is one downside to shopping for fabric at Minted, though. If you’re working on a bigger project, obtaining enough fabric could be tricky since the print width is 54 inches and the maximum continuous length of fabric is 10 yards. The fabric is also only available in 1-yard increments, so you might have some excess textile after completing your project. Click to visit the Online Store.
Moodfabrics.com
Stores to buy fabrics moodfabrics.com.com
A Moodfabrics.com If you watched Project Runway, Mood Fabrics might sound familiar. The New York City-based fabric supply is a go-to for beginners and coveted fashion designers alike and offers a wide range of fashion, home decor, and fabrics, plus trims, buttons, and notions. It truly is a one-stop-shop.
The tricky thing about shopping for textiles at Mood Fabrics is that there is so much to choose from, but the company knows this and created several tools to help you select the right material. You can shop by skill level, project, or take the company’s fabric quiz to help you narrow down your choices. And, if you’re still stuck, there is a live chat feature that allows you to connect with a fabric specialist. We also love that Mood lets you buy fabric in ½ yard increments. While this might not be ideal for smaller projects, it is one of the best yardage minimums we have seen for online fabric shopping.
Just keep in mind: if swatches are important to your project, they aren’t available per piece of fabric, and the fabric swatch books are expensive.Click to visit the online store.
Etsy.com
Stores to buy fabrics etsy.com
Etsy.com believe me this week I discovered that there are many quilters who didn’t know that etsy.com sells fabrics. Of course it is a selling site so you will find fabrics from known and unknown stores so this may come as a surprise to you or other of our readers. Click to visit the online store.
Bluemoonfabrics.com
Stores to buy fabrics bluemoonfabrics.com
A Bluemoonfabrics.com blue Moon Fabrics is Los Angeles’ go-to textile shop for all things swimwear, activewear, dancewear, and couture, and the company’s coveted fabrics are available online, too. The fashion fabrics shop has worked with top film and television costume studios and high-end fashion designers for over 20 years, making it a great source for all of your garment needs and expertise.
If you’re planning a project or sourcing material for upcoming designs, Blue Moon Fabrics offers a selection of textile swatch cards to support your design process. And, for those looking for eco-friendly fabrics, the company also has a collection of recycled textiles, including polyester, spandex, fishnet, and more.
The only downside to purchasing textiles from Blue Moon Fabrics is that it has a fashion focus, so there isn’t a whole lot of textile variety and probably not the best choice for someone looking to create home decor accessories or upholstered furniture.Click here to visit an online store.
Queenofraw.com
Stores to buy fabrics queenofraw.com
A Queenofraw.com Whether it’s for fashion or upholstery, the fabric industry can result in a lot of waste. If you’re looking for a more sustainable way to shop for fabric, Queen of Raw is the solution. Rather than contribute to new fabric production, Queen of Raw is all about saving existing (and unused) textiles through the company’s marketplace, where you can buy and sell excess deadstock fabric supply.
Thanks to its marketplace nature, Queen of Raw has a lot to offer in terms of variety, quality, price point, and origin. There is a corner of the website dedicated to smaller inventory (under three yards of fabric available) and, if you’re in need of more, there is a category for over 250 yards available, too. We also love the scrap fabric pack offerings as they are ideal for smaller projects or creating samples at a lower cost.
The only downside to Queen of Raw is the shipping cost. Because it’s a marketplace, you can purchase your fabric from sellers all around the world, which usually warrants higher shipping fees. Click here to visit the store.
Loomdecor.com
Stores to buy fabrics loomdecor
A Loomdecor.com If you’re shopping for fabric for a DIY home project, Loom Decor is a great place to purchase cotton, linen, polyester, velvet, sheer, and indoor or outdoor textiles. This fabric supply to your pattern, is great for advanced sewers looking to create a custom piece for their home, but it is also great for someone with little to no experience, as you can order custom window treatments, pillows, and other upholstered items in the fabric of your choice, without stitching a thing.
It can be tricky not being able to touch and see the fabric in person before ordering. But, with Loom Decor, you don’t have to worry about that since the company offers fabric swatches with speedy three-day delivery. The only downside to purchasing fabric online at Loom Decor is there is a minimum order quantity of one yard, and the fabric is sold in 1-yard increments. So, if you need one and a half yards, you’ll need to order two yards of fabric. Click here to visit the store.
Fabric.com
Stores to buy fabrics fabrics.com
A Fabric.com is Amazon’s online fabric shop, dedicated to supplying fabric direct to consumers at affordable price points. Do you know the history behind the famous holiday and how it is celebrated every year? Cultura Inglesa has compiled everything you need to know about the date, its origin and celebration rites. Check it out!
Origin
On July 4th the United States Declaration of Independence of 1776 is commemorated, when the Thirteen Colonies declared their separation from the British Empire. However the date only became an official national holiday in 1941.
Written by Thomas Jefferson and revised by John Adams and Benjamin Franklin, the Declaration of Independence made it possible for the Americans to become a free country. Therefore, on July 4th the whole country celebrates independence with many festivities and traditions…
Impact on American culture
The Fourth of July is one of the most anticipated commemorative dates for Americans. The festivities are marked by parades, sporting events, fireworks, lots of food, and gatherings of family and friends from all parts of the country.
The American population is very patriotic and highly values this date, as it is one of the most important on their calendar. Therefore, patriotic actions take place throughout the holiday to celebrate history and traditions.
Traditions:
The holiday is marked by typically American traditions and has a great influence on American culture in general, after all it is common for us to consume content such as series and movies that always portray this very important date and its celebrations, right? Check out the main traditions of the holiday:
Parades
In several cities around the country it is common to see civilian and military parades celebrating the independence and remembering the history of the country and the people who achieved the dream of leaving the British colony.
Typical foods
One of the most common holiday traditions is the gathering of friends and family to eat the country’s typical foods, such as the famous barbecue, hot dogs, fried chicken, hamburgers, and potato salad.
People enjoy eating outdoors, like in parks. Surely you have seen a similar scene in a movie, right?
Customs
A patriotic custom of the population is to spread the country’s flag everywhere. Houses and stores are completely decorated with the colors blue, white and red, as are the people themselves.
Another famous and beautiful tradition is the burning of fireworks at tourist sites, such as the Statue of Liberty in New York and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. This pattern is here in accuquilt.com [opd id=”193″]
Block Quilt Glorified Nine Patch Free is a very interesting block, but I really don’t know the answer and I don’t understand exactly why the name of the block is Glorified Nine Patch, but what I can say for sure is that the block is wonderful.
Block Quilt Glorified Nine Patch
Glorified Nine Patch
One thing that I find very interesting about this pattern is that the ends of the patches are cut in half-moons in equal directions to the sides, so much so that from what I observed when looking for more about this pattern most designers or quilters like to make this block quilt circled.
Particularly I find it very beautiful, but what I really like is that I can work with it, we can work it the way we like, it gives space for that, in fact the pattern itself if we leave the blocks together well glued the sides together form a circle practically.
How did I try to do it?
To this block the designer quilt enlarged the templates approximately at 141% so that the finished size is a 12″ block. That’s the measurement between the small dots (see the arrows below). Also, check the measurement corner to corner for square.
If not correct, fold the template in half to check that it is the same on both sides. Redraw if necessary, rechecking all measurements. And don’t worry that the seam allowance is closer to 3/8″ than 1/4″. Consider it insurance!
Cut the 4 corner squares at 5 5/8″; the 4 rectangles at 2 7/8″ x 5 5/8″; and the middle square 2 7/8″. As you can see, my 9-patch is a bit bigger than 12 1/2″, allowing some fudge room! See the image:
Block Quilt Glorified Nine Patch
My Grandmother is long since deceased, so I can’t ask her. My uncle had the top stored in a closet or somewhere since Grandma’s death. I finally EARNED it by quilting a different top for him for free. I have quilted and finished the quilt and it is a scrappy, stunning, heartfelt, heirloom that I am giving to my Mom for Christmas.
My Mom didn’t get any of Grandma’s quilts because my Uncle sold the finished ones and kept the rest. So I’m hoping that this means as much to Mom as it means to me to be able to give it to her.
It would really be cool to be able to tell her the name of the block also. This block pattern is by accuquilt.com.
I really hope you enjoyed this Block Quilt Glorified Nine Patch Pattern, and as you have noticed you can do many different kinds of work and what you can actually do is change the colors you can use, for example printed fabrics, unique colors, dual tone or other that really looks beautiful according to your taste.[opd id=”191″]
Paper Piecing Instructions, refers to sewing fabrics to a paper foundation to stabilize the quilt block due to unusual geometric shapes, small pieces or odd angles on a bias. Sometimes the paper foundation has a pattern printed on it, referred to as Foundation Paper Piecing, like a Log Cabin block, where the fabrics are under the paper and the quilter sews directly on the stitching line as shown on the paper.
Paper Piecing Instructions
Paper Piecing
Another version of this technique is Flip and Sew, where the fabrics and stitching are on top of the paper, or without paper. Another method of Paper Piecing is called “String Piecing”. Small strips or pieces of leftover fabrics are sewn to one another through a paper foundation in a random manner.
Benefit of Paper Piecing Instructions
When using a printed paper foundation for a block, complex designs can be easily sewn. Patterns like Mariner’s Compass, with many narrow spikes, are much easier to sew using a Paper Piecing technique than with regular piecing using templates.
The paper foundation stabilizes the fabric, which is important when the fabric is not cut on the straight of the grain.
Paper foundations can be drawn by the quilter, printed from a pattern or purchased already printed with the block design.
String piecing allows the use of small leftover pieces. The paper provides support for the fabric during the sewing and is then removed when the block is complete.
Supplies and Tools Paper Piecing Instructions
Basic Sewing supplies, Rotary Mat and Cutter, tweezers String piecing and Paper Piecing use any lightweight paper, such as vellum, news print or telephone book pages. Remember those? Sewing with smaller stitches will help with the paper removal.
There are also products for Paper Piecing that are used to print the block design and they desolve when the quilt is washed.
An Add-A-Quarter Ruler is very helpful with Paper Piecing. It allows the seam just sewn to be trimmed to the 1/4″ seam allowance for placement of the next fabric to be added to the Paper foundation.
What I Wished I Knew When I Started Paper Piecing
PAPER PIECING can make piecing complex designs fast and fun. It is important to press each seam flat or there will be folds, creases and puckers in the finished block.
Paper Piecing Instructions is also a good way to work on Group Quilts as the printed paper pattern helps to ensure each block will be the same size.
String piecing is a great way to use up lots of bits of favorite fabrics and string blocks can be made that create geometric designs with careful planning.
I hope you enjoyed this short tutorial on what Paper Piecing is. Download a gift pattern for yourself, it’s a nice surprise.[opd id=”190″]

Journey Quilt Pattern
Journey Quilt Pattern
When I received this pattern, I imagined that I must be expecting a gift. But instead of a gift, there was a large envelope addressed to me. Inside the envelope was a brown cardboard package. As I opened it, I pulled out a beautiful pattern!
I had never made a quilt like this before, but I fell in love with the idea of creating a relaxing and peaceful quilt. I researched some extra quilt patterns and found the “Journey Quilt Pattern”. This pattern seemed perfect for my goal of creating a relaxing quilt for me and my children.
The “Journey Quilt Pattern” is easy to follow and involves only a few basic stitches. It is also quite versatile, which means that you can improvise and customize the quilt in your own way.
After finishing the quilt, I realized that it could serve as a good gift for someone else. So I sent the quilt to my friend and wished her a “Journey Quilt Pattern”.
The colors and design of the pattern as said is very simple to make despite being a pattern considered intermediate I believe that even a person who has already started in the sewing business has the ability to make it, in fact this pattern is very beautiful and simple to do.
One tip that I will give you about this pattern is to avoid printed fabrics, with flowers or something like that, of course the fabric idea is yours, but you can do it according to your taste. Using plain fabrics is more important because it reflects the idea of being in the water, in the sea, in the lake, and thus generates that tranquility and peace that the pattern wants to convey.
Who doesn’t love a beautiful quilt? I am always looking for new patterns and patterns to knit, and wondering how much fun it would be to create my own quilt patterns. Fortunately, there are many good websites that offer free patterns.
Among the top sites that offer free quilt patterns are Quilters Cache, Ashbee Design, and McCall’s Quilting. At Quilters Cache, you can search by category, style, or technique. There is also a whole section dedicated to free patterns.
Ashbee Design has a wide variety of free patterns, ranging from simple to sophisticated. In addition to patterns, the site also offers videos on how to make quilts.
McCall’s Quilting is one of my favorite quilt sites. They offer a large number of free patterns, ranging from traditional to modern. In addition to the patterns, the site also offers instructions on how to make quilts.
Getting a free pattern is a good way to start making quilts. If you have never made a quilt before, start with a simple pattern. Once you have gotten used to the process, you can start experimenting with other patterns.
So if you have never made a quilt before, or if you are looking for new ideas for your quilts, try one of the sites above and get a free pattern.
If you are looking for an easy-to-follow pattern to create a relaxing quilt, the “Journey of Peace” pattern is an excellent choice. You can receive the pattern for free by clicking here in free-quilting.com.[opd id=”184″]
